After having finished her degree on English Philology, Susana Martínez studied singing and musical notation in Estudio Escola de Música in Santiago de Compostela for two years, apart from other artistic training workshops afterwards.
She was the lead singer of some blues-funk-soul bands, where she interpreted lots of covers as well as her own songs. She performed in multiple gigs and concerts in various musical programs all over Galicia.
Alternatively, she tried other musical genres and collaborated in other artists’ albums – back singing or duets -. She was a finalist in some songwriting contests and she even played the lead role of Bagheera, the panther in O libro da selva, (The jungle book in galician language) and other secondary characters.
While she works on her next record, she has just launched her first solo album “LET’S MAKE A CHANGE”, available in Spotify and all digital platforms. It will also be released in physical format soon.
LET’S MAKE A CHANGE” has been one of the musical projects selected by Fundación SGAE for a grant on the basis of manufacture and publication at the national level.
